    • I don't know how to ski / I have never skied.


    The Test :

    • Being familiar with the equipment and being on the snow.
    • Remaining balanced whilst sliding over a smooth terrain on a gentle slope.
    • To be able to turn using a snow plough.
    • Controlling speed using a snaking trajectory.
    • Using ski lifts.

    • I can snow plough turn.

    The Test :
     
    • Basic downhill descent using snow plough turns on a fairly gentle slope.
    • Basic traversing
    • Basic side-slipping and sidestep uphill.
    • Finishing turns correctly.

    Who is this level for?
     
    • I have my 1st Degree level medal.
    • I can link parallel turns, applying down-hill pressure and my skis finishing parallel.
    • I can complete basic "godille" (short radius turns)

    The Test : 

    • Being able to complete a downhill descent on a relatively steep and varied slope using basic parallel turns.
    • Traversing.
    • Use of down pressure through edging.
    • Skating step.

    Who is this level for?
     
    • I have my 2nd degree medal.
    • I can descend a fairly steep slope using basic parallel turns.
    • I am able to accomplish both short and wide radius turns with control.

    The Test :

    • Downhill descent using refined parallel turns.
    • Perfect traverse technique.
    • Wide and short radius turns with correct vertical movement (crouch and extension).
    • Able to ski any slope and all types of snow and terrain.
